Phototherapy with NBB-I LED neonatal phototherapy lamp

The replacement for BiliBed, i.e. NBB-I LED neonatal phototherapy lamp is a very simple, easy-to-use device, which is also comfortable for the baby. During the treatment the newborn is dressed in a special suit, designed to keep precious warmth. This specially designed device is equipped with an innovative reflector and a highly efficient and energy-saving LED light source.

After dressing the newborn in the suit, a light therapy session can be started. It is important to note, that the manufacturer recommends putting safety glasses on the newborn's eyes. Treatment sessions can be performed at home, in hospitals, clinics, etc. Lamps for neonatal phototherapy are available at special price, with a further discount for large quantities.

Neonatal jaundice

Neonatal jaundice is a common condition that affects every other newborn. It is most frequently identified in the second day of life and presents with yellowish skin and eyes. Newborns affected with jaundice should be under strict observation not to let the physiological form develop into the pathological one. Jaundice is basically a symptom caused by breaking down of hemoglobin contained in the red blood cells into bilirubin, which settles in the tissues. Elevated bilirubin concentration makes the newborn's skin yellowish. Bilirubin level measurement is performed by sticking and drawing blood or with the use of state-of-the-art bilirubin meter (like MBJ20 Bilirubinometer) in a painless way with rapid result display.
